Job Summary
Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is currently seeking a qualified and detail-oriented IT Officer (Technical Support) for its campus in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide front-line IT infrastructure support, hardware and software troubleshooting, network assistance, and service desk administration for campus faculty, administrative staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Tier-1 and Tier-2 IT helpdesk support across campus classrooms, computer labs, and faculty offices.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, laptops, printers, interactive smartboards, and multimedia AV systems.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows and macOS), specialized educational software, and campus productivity applications.
- Administer user credentials, access rights, password resets, and email accounts using Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
- Log, track, prioritize, and resolve support requests systematically through the central IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing system.
- Assist in maintaining local network connectivity, Wi-Fi access points, IP phones, and basic network troubleshooting across campus zones.
