Job Summary
Leading retail giants, hypermarket conglomerates (including LuLu Group International), and commercial enterprises across the Abu Dhabi Emirate are recruiting experienced and organized Department Supervisors. In this operational leadership role, you will oversee daily floor activities, manage team performance, maintain visual merchandising standards, control inventory, and drive section revenue across assigned retail or commercial departments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Floor Management
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the assigned department, ensuring staff adherence to operational standards, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
- Monitor stock availability, coordinate with warehouse storekeepers for timely stock replenishment, and enforce strict FIFO/FEFO product rotation rules.
- Drive department sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through effective team delegation, floor leadership, and customer engagement.
- Execute visual merchandising guidelines, verifying correct price tagging, promotional displays, and product placement standards.
Team Leadership & Customer Excellence
- Manage floor staff duty rosters, shift allocations, attendance tracking, and daily operational briefings.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate department staff, fostering exceptional customer service standards and product knowledge.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries, resolve floor complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts, and shrinkage prevention checks under the direction of the Store Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma, Higher Secondary Certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of retail floor experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity within a major hypermarket, supermarket, or department store in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management systems, visual merchandising, and POS operations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills in English; conversational Arabic or Hindi is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules, including weekends, evenings, and peak holiday shopping periods.
