Job Summary
The Dubai EDITION, a luxury lifestyle hotel under Marriott International located in Downtown Dubai, is recruiting service-oriented Waiters & Waitresses. In this role, you will serve culinary courses and alcoholic beverages, set tables according to brand standards, communicate guest dietary needs to the kitchen, record transactions via the MICROS system, check in with guests for satisfaction, and maintain pristine dining environments.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Dining Operations
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages promptly and professionally in accordance with Marriott luxury standards.
- Set tables for daily dining and special events following precise brand arrangement guidelines.
- Answer guest menu inquiries and communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, or allergies directly to the kitchen team.
- Record all orders into the MICROS system immediately upon order taking and process guest payments accurately.
- Check back with guests during service to ensure satisfaction with food, beverages, and overall dining atmosphere.
Quality Assurance & Side-Work Management
- Maintain the cleanliness of service areas, chinaware, glassware, and silver throughout operating hours.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking side stations, turning off equipment/lights, and securing assets.
- Follow all safety, security, and hygiene procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents to management immediately.
- Adhere to luxury uniform, personal presentation, and professional conduct guidelines at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or star-rated hotel outlets.
- Proficiency in operating POS platforms, specifically the MICROS system.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English; ability to anticipate guest needs and work collaboratively in a team.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and carry service trays or objects up to 25 pounds unassisted (and up to 50 pounds with assistance).
