Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery & Classroom Pedagogy
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, creative Mathematics lessons tailored to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and IGCSE examination specifications.
- Create an inspiring, interactive, and structured classroom environment that engages students and promotes mathematical problem-solving.
- Assess, track, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to guide pupils toward outstanding academic achievement.
- Integrate educational technology and digital tools into daily math instruction to enhance student engagement and understanding.
Department Collaboration & Community Engagement
- Work collaboratively as an effective team player within the Mathematics department to develop shared resources and moderation practices.
- Maintain clear, professional, and regular communication with parents regarding student achievement, behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, subject enrichment initiatives, house events, and school-wide functions.
- Uphold GEMS safer recruitment and safeguarding standards, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject) paired with a mandatory Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
- Proven experience teaching the National Curriculum for England and IGCSE Mathematics in a secondary school environment.
- Creative and enthusiastic pedagogical approach both inside and outside the classroom.
- Excellent IT skills and strong command of spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and academic colleagues.
