MEP Maintenance Technician – Sobha Realty (Dubai)
Job Summary
Leading luxury real estate developer and facilities management provider Sobha Realty (and its facility maintenance arm, Latinem Facilities Management) is recruiting skilled MEP Maintenance Technicians in Dubai. This role involves carrying out preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and technical inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across Sobha’s premium residential towers, luxury villas, and commercial developments in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & Mechanical Systems Maintenance
- Inspect, test, and perform routine maintenance on main distribution boards (MDBs), sub-main distribution boards (SMDBs), circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and service HVAC equipment, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), chillers, and split AC units.
- Monitor mechanical plant rooms, water pumps, booster systems, drainage networks, and water filtration units.
- Carry out daily technical log entries and monitor building management systems (BMS) for operational alarms and parameters.
Plumbing, Life Safety & Emergency Repairs
- Execute corrective plumbing tasks including pipe leakage repairs, sanitary fixture replacements, and drainage unblocking.
- Perform basic preventative checks on building emergency assets, fire fighting pumps, and emergency lighting units.
- Respond promptly to tenant work orders, resident maintenance requests, and emergency call-outs within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Comply with strict local authority statutory guidelines including DEWA regulations, Dubai Municipality standards, and site HSE protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, or Plumbing Engineering.
- At least 3 to 5 years of practical hands-on MEP facilities maintenance experience in high-rise residential towers, commercial buildings, or luxury villa communities.
- Strong working knowledge of DEWA wiring rules, HVAC systems, plumbing networks, and building maintenance operations in the UAE.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP layout drawings, single line diagrams (SLDs), and schematic plans.
- Good basic English communication skills for customer interaction and mobile work-order processing; valid UAE driving license is a distinct advantage.
